In the kitchens of Spain, José learned the art of food. The heat of the stove, the scent of garlic, and the rhythm of a chef’s knife were his early companions. Spain had taught him passion—how to make simple ingredients dance. But the world was calling.

When he came to America, José brought with him that same passion. He opened restaurants and became a culinary giant. But it was in the darkest moments, when hurricanes ripped apart towns and earthquakes crumbled homes, that José truly found his calling. He fed the hungry, not for profit but for survival. With each meal, he gave people more than food—he gave them hope. His journey was not about becoming famous, but about reminding the world that kindness can fill the heart, just as food can fill the belly.
